Leonard Pitts, Jr. Lecture

First Church is proud to announce the personal appearance of Mr. Leonard J. Pitts, Jr., Pulitzer Prize winning, syndicated columnist and author, on Saturday, March 29, 2008. Mr. Pitts writes for the Miami Herald and his column appears in the Star Section of Houston Chronicle every Monday. He expresses a very progressive attitude toward many subjects such as social justice, equality, politics, and our American Society. He has liberal views on issues that reflect reason and logic and he clearly speaks to our UU Principles and values. His appearance is an extraordinary step forward in expandinig and strengthening our connection with the greater Houston community and the Third Ward in particular.
